The Seastar collection is a new project of Tissot’s, designed with the avid diver in mind. The watches incorporate all of the fancy gadgets which you would expect to find in a diver’s watch, however with the Tissot premium finish that you would expect from the Swiss watch brand.
At first glance, the emerald green dial is the stunning centrepiece of the watch; the colour seems to deepen towards the edge like it would in the deep ocean. Decorating the dial are hands and hour markers, enlarged to ensure they are readable in all situations.
The indexes are also covered with Luminova which will glow in the dark, whilst a three-dial chronograph is positioned symmetrically. A unidirectional aluminium divers bezel is fitted to the timepiece. The bezel has a black finish and compliments the cumbersome look.
Of the features, possibly the 300-metre water resistance is one most enticing to watch fans and divers. This ensures deep sea excursions are no issue for this watch, with no worries that the timepiece could become damaged from the high pressure below the water.
Stainless-steel predominantly makes up this timepiece, visible on the case, bracelet and crown. The crown is a screw down, ensuring water cannot enter the mechanism. The bracelet is made up of a 3-bar pattern of both polished and satin steel, this bracelet is adjustable to most gent’s wrist sizes and is secured with a deployment clasp.
