Rado means ‚"wheel" in Esperanto - an international language whose foundations were laid in 1887 to unite speakers of different European languages. The brand are often referred to as the “Master of Materials”, this is because of the way they have revolutionized traditional watchmaking, by taking the lead the industry by introducing high-tech ceramic, ultralight high-tech ceramic, colourful high-tech ceramic and Ceramos™ to their uniquely designed collections.
Since its debut in 1983, the Rado Anatom has stood as a symbol of groundbreaking design and ultimate comfort. Its signature feature is the cylindrical metallised sapphire crystal with bevelled edges on both sides. The case extends into the high-tech ceramic bracelet creating a smooth, continuous form that merges the case and bracelet into a unified, cohesive shape.
Beneath this distinctive crystal lies a black lacquered dial revealing a stunning pattern of irregularly spaced horizontal lines. The rhodium-coloured applied hands and indexes are covered with white Super-LumiNova to create a refined contrast against the depth of the dial. Crowning the dial at 12 o’clock is the iconic moving anchor, complemented by a discreet date window positioned at 6 o’clock.
The Beating heart of this watch can be viewed through the sapphire crystal case back, which the 21-jewels Automatic R766 calibre is housed in. Finely regulated in five positions and equipped with a Nivachron™ hairspring, this movement delivers a high level of accuracy and a 72-hour power reserve, underlining Rado's commitment to perfection. Crafted from polished black high-tech ceramic links and polished stainless steel middle links, the bracelet is secured by a brushed stainless steel 3-fold clasp
This watch also comes with a Five-year international warranty and official watch box packaging. The Rado True collection can be viewed here.
