A watch inspired by the skies; the Oris Big Crown Pro Pilot is Oris’s take on an Aviation inspired watch. The First Oris ‘big crown’ was produced in 1938 and still to this day the Big Crown remains an integral part of the Oris family when you consider its past, present and future.
The Pro Pilot GMT edition (01 798 7773 4268-07 3 20 14GLC) of the Big Crown is designed to look and feel ready to take on any aviation mission with its 41.5mm case size and military-like features. The high-grade stainless-steel body with grey PVD coating has a great-looking pulsation scale top ring, while the case back features mineral glass to see the inner workings of the automatic movement featuring a 56-hour power reserve.
Readability is obviously key for any aviation or military watch and as such the red dial has large numerals and hands. Both the hands and numerals are coated with Super-LumiNova; a substance that allows greater visibility in low lights. The dial also showcases the added GMT complication to the Oris 751 calibre with an extra time zone function.
Completing the timepiece is a black fabric strap with red leather backing bracelet and a folding clasp fastening. Each Oris watch comes with branded packaging and is complete a two-year international warranty to cover you against mechanical faults, this also comes with the option for extend the warranty for free to 3 years.
