As with most Bremont watches, each new design tells a story. The new ‘Solo Lady K’ pays homage to the English brothers, the founders of Bremont’s mother. Nick and Giles English father hand built a boat for their mother and that was named Lady K. The watches design is a nod to their mother and her artistic and adventurous spirit – which were of equal match to their father’s pilot profession.
Unseen in many of the SOLO watches, this timepiece has an open case back. Made with sapphire crystal glass which has been treated with nine layers of anti-reflective coating for increased legibility, the open case back exhibits the stunning 11 ½‘’ BE-92AV Bremont modified automatic movement which has 25 jewels and a 42 hour power reserve.
Inside the 34mm Trip-Tick case construction is the gorgeous black Tahitian mother of pearl dial, the which appropriately calls to mind pictures of the open sea, yet to be explored by boat. Due to the nature of the material each dial is unique. For the first time in a mainline product of Bremont, diamonds can be found on the dial as indices markers. A further 60 brilliant cut diamonds can be found adorning the bezel of this timepiece.
Polished steel adorns the case, bezel and clasp which is hardened to 2,000 Vickers as a tribute to a technique used widely in the aerospace industry. The polished effect is a fitting companion to the beautiful mother-of-pearl dial which enhances nickel hands and silver hour markers to provide easy viewing at all times.
With a date window situated at 6 hours, the timepiece operates a hours, minutes and seconds function and is waterproof to 100 metres. A classic 3-part stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp which is adjustable to many wrist sizes. Complete with a three-year international warranty and Bremont’s special watch packaging.
